In the automotive engine accessory belt drive system, the tensioner pulley, though seemingly an insignificant small component, plays a crucial role in the stable operation of the entire system. It is like the conductor of an orchestra, precisely regulating the tension of the belt to ensure the efficient operation of key accessories such as the alternator, power steering pump, and water pump. Over the lifespan of a vehicle, the engine runs countless times, and the tensioner pulley endures high-frequency vibrations, complex and varying temperatures, and various external forces. If the tensioner pulley has poor durability and frequently malfunctions, it not only leads to a decline in vehicle performance, such as reduced power and increased fuel consumption, but may also cause serious safety hazards, posing unexpected dangers during driving. Therefore, the durability of the tensioner pulley is the core indicator for evaluating its quality.

The INAF and ZNAF brand tensioner pulleys under the Qite brand have aimed for outstanding quality since their inception and have undergone a series of extremely rigorous durability tests. These tests are based on the international standard GB/T 45016—2024 and cover multiple dimensions including high temperature, cold and heat shock, and corrosion, comprehensively simulating the actual operating conditions of the vehicle in various extreme environments, all to provide users with the most reliable products.

High-temperature durability: Steady performance in scorching conditions
In the high-temperature durability test, the INAF and ZNAF brand tensioner pulleys are placed in a high-temperature environment of (100±5)℃, a temperature close to the limit of the engine compartment during long periods of high-speed driving or in hot summer weather. At the same time, the tensioner pulleys need to operate continuously at a frequency of (25±1)Hz and a ±3° swing angle for no less than 400 hours. Throughout the test, technicians collect and analyze key data such as the pulley's jamming condition, noise value, parallelism change, and average torque change at critical time points of 0h, 1h, 24h, 100h, 200h, and 400h.

Such a high-temperature and high-frequency vibration environment poses a significant challenge to ordinary tensioner pulleys. Rubber seals may age and deform due to high temperatures, leading to oil leakage and insufficient lubrication of the bearings, causing jamming; metal parts may also experience fatigue wear due to thermal expansion and contraction and continuous vibration, resulting in increased parallelism deviation and unstable torque. However, the INAF and ZNAF brand tensioner pulleys from Qite, with their high-quality materials and advanced manufacturing processes, successfully passed this test. After 400 hours of continuous operation, all components of the tensioner pulleys remained tightly coupled, with no jamming observed, the noise value consistently maintained at a very low level, and the parallelism change and average torque change were within acceptable ranges, fully demonstrating their stable and reliable operation in high-temperature environments.

Cold and heat shock durability: Outstanding performance under extreme temperature differences
In actual use, vehicles may experience drastic temperature changes, such as from the cold winter in the north to the hot summer in the south, or from a warm indoor parking lot directly to the cold outdoors. To simulate such extreme temperature difference environments, Qite conducted cold and heat shock durability tests on the INAF and ZNAF brand tensioner pulleys.

During the test, the tensioner pulleys need to run for 1 hour in a high-temperature test device at (100±5)℃, then be quickly transferred to a low-temperature test device at (-40±2)℃, where they are left to stand for 1 hour before being restarted and run for another 1 hour. This constitutes one complete cycle, and the test needs to be repeated 3 times. At 0h, 1h, and 3h of each cycle, technicians closely monitor the performance indicators of the tensioner pulleys. The frequent alternation of high and low temperatures will cause stress changes in the material of the tensioner pulley, which is very likely to lead to material deformation and cracking, affecting its normal operation. However, the INAF and ZNAF brand tensioner pulleys from Qite have overcome this challenge with carefully selected materials and unique structural designs. After multiple cold and hot shock cycles, there were no signs of deformation or cracking on the surface of the tensioner pulleys, and the internal structure remained stable, with all performance indicators remaining consistent. This demonstrates their strong environmental adaptability, ensuring the normal operation of the vehicle's transmission system in both extremely cold and hot conditions.

Corrosion Test: Resisting Erosion, Remaining Robust
During daily driving, tensioner pulleys are inevitably exposed to rainwater, snowmelt, and deicing salts sprayed on the road, which are all corrosive substances. To test the corrosion resistance of the INAF and ZNAF brand tensioner pulleys, Qite conducted a salt spray test using a 0.5% salt water solution. The salt spray deposition rate was required to be ≥1mL/80cm²·h, and the total test duration was 312 hours, including 240 hours of operation and 72 hours of static time.

In the salt spray test environment, the metal surface of ordinary tensioner pulleys may quickly develop rust, and as time goes on, the corrosion will intensify, affecting the mechanical performance and tension adjustment function of the tensioner pulley. However, the INAF and ZNAF brand tensioner pulleys from Qite, with their special surface treatment process and high-quality corrosion-resistant materials, showed only minor corrosion marks on the surface after 312 hours of salt spray testing, and the performance of key components was almost unaffected. This demonstrates their outstanding corrosion resistance, allowing them to maintain good working conditions for a long time in harsh external environments.

Through this series of rigorous durability tests, the INAF and ZNAF brand automotive tensioner pulleys from Qite have fully demonstrated their superior quality and reliability. No matter what harsh conditions they encounter, they can consistently provide stable and precise tension adjustment for the vehicle's engine accessory belt drive system, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle. Choosing Qite's INAF and ZNAF brand tensioner pulleys is choosing a reliable and reassuring guarantee for your vehicle, allowing you to enjoy a worry-free driving experience every time you go out.
