Symptoms of tensioner failure:
1. If the automobile tensioner breaks down, it may cause engine shaking and ignition difficulties when filling the fuel door. In serious cases, it may not hit the car, deform the valve top, cause engine parts damage, and more likely lock up, resulting in abnormal belt transmission and vehicle breakdown;
2. The automobile tensioner is used in the timing system of the engine to adjust the tightness of the timing belt chain. Once the tensioner is damaged, it will not be able to adjust the tightness of the belt, the engine will make abnormal noise, timing gear jumping, ignition and gas distribution time disorder, which will affect the normal use of the vehicle. It will also lead to vehicle shaking, increased fuel consumption, weak acceleration, detonation and other faults;
3. Generally, the tensioner has the same replacement cycle as the timing belt. It is recommended to replace it once every 35 years or 8.1 million km. Refer to the vehicle maintenance manual for the specific replacement time.
